I haven't always been so obsessed with make-up, my collection has really only started to blow up since I started watching tutorials/reviews etc on Youtube. So I'd like to pay homage to those Youtubers that ignited and fueled my on-going obsession with make-up and thank/blame them for where I am now - really skint and beginning my own blog! :)
1. Leesha (Youtube - xsparkage, Blog - xsparkage.com)
I think I was about 18 or 19 when I first spotted one of Leesha's videos, I was going out for a few drinks and didn't know what make-up to do. I went on Youtube and searched "make-up tutorial" and one of her vids popped up. She is well known for bright and beautiful looks, so I was far too scared to try anything she posted at the time. But I was mesmerised by her love of make-up and what she could do. So I ended up sitting watching video after video of hers until I was really late for my night out and my friends were all really annoyed (sorry guys!!). To this day, I still watch all of her new vids with the same captivation and check her blog every day for new posts! (haha stalker much?!)
2. Julie (Youtube - JulieG713)
Not long after Leesha sparked my true interest in make-up, I came across the lovely Julie. With her lovely smiley face, and her gorgeous hair (go check her out, she has the nicest hair ever!) I developed a serious girl crush! She clearly has such a passion for what she does, and loves each and every one of her fans. And she creates such simple-to-achieve yet stunning looks and never fails to deliver. She does some awesome nail tutorials too, but I really don't have a steady enough hand to re-create them!! Lol!
There are lots of other make-up gurus on Youtube, who share their passion for make-up and beauty with all of us. And I'm sure there are others that I have been watching, I'll edit this post when I think of them. But Leesha and Julie are the first Gurus I came across, and my bank manager hates them for the dramatic increase in my spending online! :)
